About The Volunteer Youth Guidebook

Welcome to the Youth Volunteer Guidebook, made possible through support from The Carvel Foundation! As the leading source for volunteer service in the region, Volunteer New York! is focused on making service easy and fun. This digital guidebook was created to make finding volunteer opportunities appropriate for youth, families, and youth groups easy—and accessible from any and all mobile devices. The Youth Volunteer Guidebook can be found in the Apple App Store for both iPhones and iPads, in the Google Play store for Android Devices, and on the web—anytime, anywhere—at http://volunteernynow.org.

Here you’ll find a listing of nonprofits that work with youth volunteers, sorted by age, as well as seasonal volunteering information related to summer, holidays, service projects, and youth leadership. In the Volunteer New York! events section, you’ll find information about several community-wide National Day of Service opportunities that we host throughout the year, as well as information about our annual Volunteer Spirit Awards (and how to get involved). You can also share your volunteer experience with Volunteer New York! and even create your own local donation drive. Once you fill out the form, we’ll review it and post it so others can support your mission.
