Teen leaders and art lovers, take note!

ArtsWestchester, a White Plains-based nonprofit that advocates for and supports the arts through events and exhibitions, is launching a new program called the Young Adult Leadership Council—and you could be among its first members.

Designed for youth aged 16 to 21 who have a passion for the arts, the Young Adult Leadership Council is a career and college readiness program that takes place twice a month (either in-person or virtually) from October through May. Council members aim to plan, evaluate, attend, promote, and develop ArtsWestchester's teen programs, including its Teen Tuesdays & Thursdays art workshop series. Council members will also gain valuable career and college readiness skills.

The Council will be comprised of 15 youth that can serve for multiple years for a maximum of three years (hint: this demonstrates dedication, leadership, and looks great on a resume). The best part? A $500 stipend will be provided to cover any costs associated with transportation to ArtsWestchester. It's a great way to merge your love of local arts with your leadership skills.

Sound like the opportunity for you? Find more information—including the program schedule and  link to submit your application—here. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2020.
