How to Volunteer for the Holidays

Volunteer New York!

With Diwali behind us and Thanksgiving only a week away, it's safe to say that the holiday season is in full swing! Of course, our seasonal celebrations will look a lot different this year as many families are struggling to make ends meet. And with recent spikes in COVID-19 all across the country, it will be tough to carry on the traditions we're used to, such as gathering for family dinners and participating in turkey trots.

Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to spread holiday cheer this year—from a safe distance, of course.

The need for volunteers continues to be at an all-time high. From distributing turkeys and other essentials at a food pantry, to raking leaves during a park cleanup, to donating to a coat drive for children, there's no shortage of opportunities for locals who want to do some good this year. Find them all at our annual Holiday Volunteering page at volunteernewyork.org/holiday, and help spread the holiday joy this season!
