Engages the public to advocate for and invest in the preservation, conservation, use, and enjoyment of the 18,000 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces within the Westchester County Parks system.

Groundwork Hudson Valley

Groundwork Hudson Valley is an environmental justice non-profit that works with communities to improve their physical and social environment. This is done by collaborating on projects, among them: turning dangerous vacant lots into community gardens, planting trees, replacing graffiti with murals, and forming alliances within the community. Some of these projects are done through school programs and many of them are intergenerational. We are dedicated to environmental stewardship and community empowerment. All of our projects engage local residents in hands-on projects, from design to planting.

Pound Ridge Land Conservancy

PRLC seeks to preserve natural habitats and biodiversity in Pound Ridge for aesthetic, quiet enjoyment and educational purposes. In support of its mission, Pound Ridge Land Conservancy partners with other local, land conservation organizations and the town on land preservation issues, outreach and education.

White Plains Hospital

White Plains Hospital Center is a voluntary, not-for-profit health care organization with the primary mission of offering high quality, acute health care and preventive medical care in a caring and compassionate manner to all people who live in, work in, or visit Westchester County and its surrounding areas. The Hospital will provide care and services without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sexual orientation or ability to pay.

Bread of Life

With a goal to ensure that the most vulnerable of the community does not experience hunger or food insecurity, Bread of Life is a non-profit organization that feeds thousands weekly in Westchester County. Our team gets food into the hands of those that are hungry and instills the assurance that their lives do matter.

Junior League of Central Westchester

Our approximately 250 active and sustaining members reflect a wide range of backgrounds, interests, and professional pursuits. We are accomplished collaborators who identify community needs and develop effective and responsive programs to serve those needs. Headquartered at historic Wayside Cottage in Scarsdale, NY, the JLCW has served the communities of Eastchester, Greenburgh, Scarsdale and White Plains for over 65 years. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Aisling Irish Community Center

A community center for Irish immigrants in New York. We provide counseling, social and immigration services, employment and accommodation notices, classes in Irish language, music and dancing, computer, yoga, mothers and tots. seniors and AA groups. We strive to reach out not only to the physical, but also to the social, emotional and spiritual needs of the human person.

Posh Pets Animal Rescue

To rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters, off the streets, and from other terrible situations, and get them adopted to safe and loving homes. We provide safe haven to all those who find their way to us through whatever circumstance, whether abandoned, injured or neglected. No matter the breed, health or age, we believe that all should live secure, healthy lives and we work tirelessly in our attempts to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime.

Cancer Support Team's goal is to enhance the quality of life of those dealing with the many challenges of a cancer diagnosis. We offer our services during any stage of the disease, at no cost and regardless of insurance coverage.

Gilda's Club

Yes She Can

Yes She Can Inc. is dedicated to developing transferable job skills and workplace social skills’ through authentic work experience for teen girls in transition from high school to adulthood and for young women with autism spectrum disorders to enable them to gain and sustain employment and build careers in the competitive job market. Through our retail boutique, Girl AGain, we teach women various business skills such as retail operations, marketing, inventory management, customer service, and sales. We teach social skills, collaboration, advocacy, and managing frustrations. Our goal is to teach skills to enable employees to move to other jobs in retail, with or without supports. We are creating a model of a specialty retail business that can be replicated for other locations, by other individuals or organizations. Through customer interactions we create awareness of the need for employment opportunities and inclusion in the workforce for people with autism.

Community Center of Northern Westchester

The Community Center seeks to improve the dignity of all in need in Northern Westchester. In addition to providing food and clothing for thousands of households across more than 30 communities in Northern Westchester, we offer a range of classes and special programs, and work directly with our clients to assist them in gaining access to other resources, including health care, education, and social services. Our services are offered free of charge to all who need help -- new arrivals, as well as residents who have deep roots in the community.

The mission of the Friends of Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center is to foster local food systems and food security, preserve our agricultural heritage, demonstrate environmental stewardship, encourage conservation, and promote sustainability for current and future generations.

Food Bank for Westchester

The mission of the Food Bank for Westchester is to educate the public about hunger and food-insecurity and to create a hunger-free environment. The Food Bank is the backbone of the country’s emergency food supply, providing 95% of food to 227 frontline hunger-relief programs throughout the county, including food pantries, soup kitchens, residential treatment facilities, and senior and day-care centers. The Food Bank estimates that 200,000 people in the county are hungry or food insecure, meaning they don’t have consistent access to adequate, nutritious food for a healthy lifestyle. Half of them are seniors; one-third of them are children. The Food Bank for Westchester is a member of Feeding America, the national food bank network.
