Youth Volunteer Guide Book from Volunteer New York

Volunteer Spirit Awards

For 40 years, Volunteer New York!’s annual Volunteer Spirit Awards ceremony has become the premier volunteer recognition celebration in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam counties. Each year, Volunteer New York! recognizes a distinguished group of volunteers and changemakers who have done extraordinary work in our communities. A blue ribbon panel of judges selects one winner in each of seven categories, including the Youth Leader Award, which honors one youth (age 21 years or under) for their outstanding volunteer service for a cause or nonprofit.

Nominations for the Volunteer Spirit Awards open in the fall. Please visit volunteernewyork.org/awards for a complete list of awards, guidelines and nominating instructions.
